Meet the Health Careers High School Chapter!
President and Founder Aadhi Kannan founded the Health Careers High School Chapter on May 25th, 2024. His team includes Vice President Anupam Parida, Secretaries Ariv Sadh and Prithvik Sriram, and Director of Development Achu Chandrashekar.

Meet the Brandeis Chapter!
President and Founder Harshita Murala founded the Brandeis Book Pool Chapter on May 29th, 2024. Her team includes Vice President Shreya Narasimhan and Secretary Shubika Singh.
Harshita Murala
Harshita is part of Brandeis high school’s class of 2026. She is involved in STEM and Eco friendly clubs at school. She has won multiple awards for her artwork throughout showcases and competitions. Her favorite subjects are both chemistry and English and in her free time she enjoys dancing, playing the violin, volunteering, and biking!
Shreya Narasimhan
Shreya is a student at Brandeis High School and enjoys watching Star Wars. Apparently, when the first Star Wars movie was released, the guillotine was still being used in France. Time can really mess with you if you give it the chance, but it shows our days are numbered, so might as well put them to good use. Make every second count, because no amount of money ever bought a second of time.

Meet the Clark High School Chapter!
President and Founder Esha Cherukuri founded the Health Careers High School Chapter on May 30th, 2024. Her team includes Vice President Shruti Sathish, Secretary and Treasurer Simran Rawtani and Historian Nivritti Pavala.
Esha Cherukuri
Esha is a member of the Tom C. Clark class of 2027. She loves to dance, play the piano, do art, spend time with friends and family, and volunteer to help my community. She is a member of the Clark Varsity dance team, an officer of Clark HOSA, a member of the interact club, and a competer at the state level for piano competitions. Esha is so excited to help her community and make a meaningful contribution to those in need through the San Antonio Book Pool.
Nivritti Pakala
Nivritti Pakala is a member of the Tom C. Clark High School class of 2026. Nivritti, who enjoys history and social studies, is on the Varsity Water polo and Swim teams at Clark and attends club practices for both sports. She’s also Vice President of the Clark Chapter of HOSA, Secretary of the Girls Learn International Club, and a member of the TCCHS Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society. Outside of school, she enjoys volunteering at places like CAMP camp and the SA food bank which work to help different groups of disadvantaged people. Her hobbies include reading, dancing, and traveling.
Shruti Sathish
Shruti Sathish, a student of Clark High School’s class of 2027, is actively involved in her school as a GT student, HOSA participant, and member of the dance team. Outside of school, Shruti is a graduate and substitute teacher at San Antonio Tamil School, teaches Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance style, and is an awardee/participant of the Texas Folklife Apprenticeship Program. She uses her hobbies such as baking to fundraise for many global non-profit organizations and is eager to use her love for reading to contribute to the San Antonio Book Pool.
Simran Rawtani
Simran Rawtani is a Class of 2026 student at Clark High School and has a deep passion for art and social causes and is involved in various extra-curricular activities. From participating in classical Indian dance, to becoming one of the officers of GLI, and accumulating volunteer hours equivalent to the PVSA gold medal, Simran is committed to making a difference in her community. Alongside her academic pursuits, she finds the thrilling pages of mystery and suspense novels very interesting during her free time.
Meet the John Jay High School Chapter!
President and Founder Shuhei Ogasawara founded the John Jay High School Chapter on June 7th, 2024. His team includes Vice President Timothy Rios, Secretary Bryan Gonzalez, Treasurer Kyle Jackson, and Outreach Director Emma Saenz.
Shuhei Ogasawara
Shuhei Ogasawara is a member of the John Jay Science & Engineering Academy’s class of 2026. He is part of the John Jay Academic Research Team, CyberPatriots, NHS, UIL Math Team, and Chamber Orchestra. With a passion for science and math, he has competed in science fairs like the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair. Outside school, he has been part of the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio, Region Orchestra, and is an assistant teacher at the Japanese Supplementary School of San Antonio. In his free time, he enjoys playing violin and piano.
Timothy Rios
Timothy, a current engineering student and Tetris enthusiast, is a proud, highly motivated member of his school’s community. From his participation as a pianist in the Orchestra, and pole vaulter on the track team, to being a regular volunteer at outreach events, he takes pride in being involved and strives to make a lasting impact on those around him.
Bryan Gonzalez
Hello, I’m Bryan Gonzalez and I go to John Jay High School. I enjoy STEM subjects, reading, and sports such as swim and track. I always seek a chance to give back or help out the community, which makes me honored to be part of the San Antonio Book Pool.
Kyle Jackson
Hello my name is Kyle Jackson I’m a part of John Jay Science and Engineering Academy’s class of 2026. I play Varsity football, run track, play Bass for the John Jay orchestra, and am a member of the John Jay Academic Research team. I am very passionate about all things STEM and I am excited to help out the community anyway I can.
Emma Saenz
Emma is a part of the John Jay Science and Engineering Class of 2026. She is the president/founder of a volunteer club and is involved in varsity orchestra, varsity mariachi, marketing, and psychology research. Outside of school, she is involved in the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio and various science fairs. She also loves to read and travel and share her experiences with others.
Meet the Reagan High School Chapter!
President and Founder Milena Yovanovich founded the Reagan High School Chapter on June 10th, 2024. Her team includes Vice President Ujala Patel, Secretary Angela Huang, Treasurer Kendra Baker, and Outreach Directors Kyra Yiannos and Mannat Dhillon.
Milena Yovanovich
Milena Yovanovich is a junior at Ronald Reagan HS, class of 2026. She is involved in varsity tennis, Science National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta and HOSA. Her favorite subjects are math, biology and chemistry. She enjoys playing tennis, volunteering at the Methodist Hospital, running, reading and hanging out with friends.

Hello! My name is Ujala Patel and I am a junior at Reagan HS. I am involved in DECA, policy debate, Science National Honor Society, and PALS at school. Outside school, I do Indian classical dance and singing. My hobbies are baking, running, and spending time with friends and family.
Angela Huang
Angela Huang is a member of Ronald Reagan High School’s Class of 2026. You can find her playing tennis, reading, or spending time with her friends in her free time.
Kendra Baker
Kendra Baker is a Junior at Ronald Reagan High School, class of 2026. She is involved in her school’s tennis team, Key Club, and National Spanish Honor Society. Apart from school, she enjoys volunteering at places such as Camp Independence, which provides educational programs for children with diabetes, and the San Antonio food bank. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling.
Kyra Yiannos
Kyra Yiannos, a member of the Ronald Reagan High School class of 2026, is involved in MUN, Speech and Debate, and art. She is vice president of the Got Hope Club and treasurer of the National Art Honors Society. Kyra has lots of experience in charity work and fundraising, being a member of the National Charity League, and an award-winning Student Visionary of the Year candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She is excited to continue her involvement with the community through the San Antonio Book Pool.
Mannat Dhillon
Mannat Dhillon is a junior at Reagan High School. She loves to read, bake, and play golf. Her favorite subjects are English and science. She also loves to volunteer in the community.
Meet the Keystone High School Chapter!
President and Founder Kunling Wu founded the Keystone High School Chapter on June 14th, 2024. Her team includes Vice President Suhin Nallagata and Secretary Ashwin Panday.
Kunling Wu
Kunling is a member of the Keystone School Class of 2027. Her daily life consists of academics (STEM in particular), naps, and drawing. She enjoys some good competitions (science fair, NSE, MUN, Scholastic, etc.), but outside of school you might find her volunteering at the Witte, playing volleyball, or attempting to conjure up a graphic novel.
Ashwin Panday
Ashwin is part of the Class of 2027 at Keystone School! He enjoys all subjects, especially the sciences, including physics, chemistry, environmental sciences, and space sciences. He is active in various extracurriculars, including Model UN, piano, tennis, and martial arts. Ashwin is also passionate about community service, writing, and theater. During his free time, Ashwin loves to read. Since a young age, reading has been one of his main passions, and he is so excited to expand the love of books to others through the San Antonio Book Pool!
Meet the Poland Chapter!
President and Founder Dianna Serjant founded the Poland Book Pool Chapter on June 21st, 2024. Her team includes Vice Presiednt Łucja Mielnik, Secretary Marianna Sobczak, Treasurer Lena Siatecka, and Outreach Directors Maria Błaszkiewicz and Natalia Sikorska.
Diana Serjant
Diana Serjant is a student at the 3rd High School in Gdynia, Poland. She gives free tutoring to younger peers and works as a scientist in a local lab. In her free time, she enjoys reading sci-fi books or playing chess. She engages in many sports such as windsurfing and rollerblading. She participates in volunteer activities and organizes various events in her school and in the area.
Łucja Mielnik
Łucja Mielnik is a student at the 3rd High School in Gdynia, Poland, and is the peer-chosen class president. Even with her busy schedule, she finds time to lead free tutoring sessions for kids three times a week and does other voluntary work for her school and local communities. In her leftover free time, she pursues her passion for drawing, loves hanging out with friends, and dancing.
Marianna Sobczak
Marianna Sobczak is a student at the 3rd High School in Gdynia, Poland. She gives free tutoring to refugees and is a member of the New School Movement (RNS). She spends her free time developing her projects related to climate change. Additionally, she organizes various events. Marianna is also a competitive swimmer and windsurfer.
Lena Siatecka
Lena Siatecka is a student at the 3rd High School in Gdynia, Poland. She is a scout, sailor, and an extremely diligent book reader. However, her real passion is creating impactful projects through which she can help others.
Maria Błaszkiewicz
Maria Błaszkiewicz is a student at the 3rd High School in Gdynia, Poland. She is from Gdynia, but from September she will be studying at Oxford. Apart from volunteering, she is passionate about film, theatre, and photography. In her free time, she loves to travel, visit art galleries, and surf.
Natalia Sikorska
Natalia Sikorska is a student at the 3rd High School in Gdynia, Poland, with a keen interest in chemistry and a passion for playing the piano. Besides her academic pursuits, Natalia enjoys reading books, spending time with her friends, riding horses, and helping others.
Meet the BASIS Peoria Book Pool Chapter!
President and Founder Aavani Malaviya founded the Brandeis Book Pool Chapter on July 3rd, 2024. Her team includes Vice President Hansika Kokatnoor and Secretary Sudharshini Ram.
Aavani Malaviya
Aavani Malaviya,a student at BASIS Peoria class of 2027 is a book lover who considers the library to be her happy place. She reads everything from dystopian fiction like “I Who Have Never Known Men” to absurdist tales like “The Fall.” Beyond her passion for reading, Aavani enjoys crocheting, swimming, jamming to her favorite music, traveling, and discovering random fun facts. She’s delighted to be part of the San Antonio book pool and can’t wait to share her love for stories with others!
Hansika Kokatnoor
Hansika Kokatnoor is a student at BASIS Peoria class of 27’. She enjoys reading and watching anime. She loves chemistry and math and, when she was younger, was fascinated by STEM education. She aspires to grow up to become an ophthalmologist and find better and new ways to improve patients eye conditions. She loves to play badminton, work with children, volunteer, and travel. She is open to trying new things and constantly meddling with another hobby or another.
